Now entering its 22nd Year, The Chelsea Art Fair will return to its familiar home, at the Chelsea Old Town Hall, from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th April.
This gem of an Art Fair in the heart of Chelsea is widely regarded as one of the leading art fairs in the Capital. As a gallery lead (as opposed to artist) fair, approximately 30 leading galleries from across the UK will present a variety of stunning original, predominantly contemporary, works of art.
In order to ensure the quality of works on offer, each gallery applies and is rigorously checked by the advisory committee, to ensure that all works for sale meet a standard and that the artists presented are all recognised within their discipline.
As with any Art Fair, paintings dominate the fair, however Chelsea has also earned a reputation for high quality sculpture as well, with Bronze to fore, however many varied media are shown, including stone, ceramics and glass. In order to maintain the standards, and variety of art on offer each gallery must show a minimum of three artists. Resin sculpture and giclees are not permitted. Sculptures must be signed and in editions of 15 or less and prints must be signed by the artist and in editions of 75 or less.
The Chelsea Art Fair is once again proud to be supporting The Rainbow Trust. The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
As a visitor, whether looking for an investment or merely something to furnish a home or office, The Chelsea Art Fair is an event of integrity and quality which must not be missed.
